After a day off last Sunday (5), the Corinthians squad returned to training at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. One of the new features in the activity was the presence of English midfielder Jesse Lingard, who had been released by the club in the final stretch of June to travel to England to attend his grandfather's funeral.
Shirt number 77 was missing from the squad for almost a week due to a personal problem. The squad led by Fernando Diniz resumed activities on June 25th after receiving almost a month of vacation following the 3-1 victory over Grêmio in Rio Grande do Sul, in the penultimate round of the first round of the Brasileirão.

Last Sunday, even with the squad given time off, Lingard was at the Corinthians CT performing individual work in the gym accompanied by physical trainer Marlon Muniz, who was recently hired from Vasco da Gama. This Monday, the English midfielder appeared on the field at the training center along with the other players.
The only absence, it is worth remembering, is that of striker Memphis Depay, who played in the World Cup with the Dutch national team and, after his country's elimination from the competition, received extra days of rest. Alvinegro has not yet announced when the number 10 will return to activities. In this second semester, the Corinthians team will compete in the second round of the Brasileirão, in addition to the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores, in August, against Internacional and Rosário Central, respectively.
Corinthians will officially return to the pitch on July 23rd, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), when they will face Remo, at Neo Química Arena, in the last round of the first round of the Brazilian Championship. At the moment, Timão is in tenth place with 24 points - six wins, six draws and six defeats - 18 goals scored and 19 conceded. Before that, however, Fernando Diniz's men will have a friendly against FC Cascavel, next Sunday (12), at 4pm, in Paraná.
