Jennifer Lopez says 'I'm Still Here' helped her through divorce from Ben Affleck: 'It changed my life'

Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez was moved when she remembered the importance of the Brazilian film "I'm Still Here" for her.
During an interview released this Tuesday (9) on the podcast "Films To Be Buried With", led by actor Brett Goldstein, known for the series "Ted Lasso", she commented that the film starring Fernanda Torres and winner of the Oscar in 2025 "changed her life".
Lopez makes reference to the period in which she was facing a separation process with actor Ben Aflleck, in 2024, after two years of marriage.

"I was going through a divorce and was going through a lot about my children and what you do when something like that happens in your life. My father and I watched the film and I didn't know anything about it," she said.
The actress explained that the film's drama, which tells the story of Eunice Paiva's relationship with her children after the kidnapping and death of the then deputy Rubens Paiva during the military dictatorship (1964-1985), really affected her.
"It healed part of me that needed to be healed to move forward with this part of my life and these types of relationships in my life. This movie changed my life and helped me grow and heal."
