The Italian Public Prosecutor's Office has been investigating a complaint that, during the conflict, in the decade In 1990, there was "war tourism" in which people went to Bosnia to fire rifles at civilians in the siege of the city. The tourists, according to the complaint, paid an amount that would be equivalent to between 80,000 and 100,000 euros in current values (between R$490,000 and R$610,000) to Bosnian Serb militias and intermediaries.
Milan prosecutors placed five people under investigation due to allegations that Italians and other foreigners paid to shoot civilians during the siege of Sarajevo (1992-1995), informed the source.
