Israeli army orders evacuation of Lebanon residents amid attacks

The Arab spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces issued warnings this Friday (5) to residents of parts of southern Lebanon, stating that the country will attack targets in the region.

This comes days after the Israeli and Lebanese governments agreed to implement a ceasefire.

Avichai Adraee said residents of affected towns and villages should immediately evacuate their homes and stay "at a distance of at least 1,000 meters in open areas."

In another warning, issued on Telegram more than an hour later to residents of other cities and towns, Adraee said they should "move north of the Zahrani River."

The Lebanese state network NNA reported that four people died in Israeli attacks this Friday.

The Hezbollah group, supported by Iran, rejected the pact between the Lebanese government and Israel. The agreement was conditional on the "complete cessation" of Hezbollah firing and the withdrawal of all its members from southern Lebanon.

Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered troops to intensify the incursion into neighboring territory.
