Iran said this Sunday (28) that US air strikes had hit several monitoring and surveillance facilities on the country's south coast.

Tehran classified the actions as a violation of the interim agreement reached to end the four-month war between the two countries.

"These brutal attacks show that the US does not attach the slightest value or credibility to its commitments, and breaking promises is part of its nature," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Earlier, the country confirmed attacks on United States military bases located in Kuwait and Bahrain. The information was released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to the statement, the offensive used missiles and drones and targeted American military installations.

The Revolutionary Guard said the operation was conducted by naval and aerospace forces. According to the group, the American attacks "will result in the complete paralysis of all diplomatic processes."

There were no American casualties or significant damage to U.S. facilities in the Persian Gulf region, a U.S. official told Reuters.
