Iran and Pakistan meet amid negotiations seeking to end war

Iran's chief negotiator and speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf met with Pakistani army chief Asim Munir in Tehran as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to deal with regional tensions, Iranian state media reported this Saturday (23).
This Friday (22), Munir also met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in the presence of Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, during his visit to Iran.
Pakistan has acted as an intermediary between Iran and the United States since the start of the war, transmitting messages between the two sides and mediating meetings in the country.
