Iran has accused the United States of committing a "blatant war crime" after attacks on two bridges in the east of the country.

Iran's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that the US military had attacked several sites in the southern coastal provinces, as well as "two bridges in the eastern provinces, on the railway route" to Mashhad.

In a statement, US Central Command reported that American forces attacked "90 Iranian military targets" along the coast. The statement did not mention any bridges.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry's statement said the US carried out "criminal attacks" in the last 48 hours and violated the UN Charter and the agreement signed between Washington and Tehran last month.
