Ipsos-Ipec: 52% disagree that designating factions as terrorists threatens Pix

The majority of the Brazilian population disagrees that the United States government's decision to designate criminal factions as terrorist groups will threaten Pix. According to the Ipsos-Ipec survey released this Friday (26), 52% of Brazilians think this way.

Within this index, 39% say they completely disagree that there is a threat, while 13% partially disagree.

Those who say they agree with this statement total 33%. Of these, 12% partially agree and 21% completely.

Public Security
Today's survey also shows that 48% agree with the statement that the United States' decision will improve public security in Brazil, against 41% who say they disagree with this hypothesis.

National issue
Also according to the survey, the majority of Brazilians (54%) say they believe that the North American measure represents interference in matters that concern only Brazil. Those who disagree with this position are 35%.

Risk for communities
Finally, the research mapped what the population thinks about the United States' decision affecting Brazilian communities.

When asked whether this classification puts residents living in communities dominated by the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) and the CV (Comando Vermelho) at risk, the majority say they completely agree with this point (see details in the graph below).

Methodology
2,000 people were interviewed between the 13th and 17th of June. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points. The confidence level is 95%. The research was carried out with resources from the institute itself.
