IPC-Fipe rises 0.45% in the first four weeks of June and repeats the variation seen in May

The IPC (Consumer Price Index), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 0.45% in the first four weeks of June, repeating the variation seen in May, according to data published by Fipe (Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas) this Tuesday (9).

In this month's initial reading, four of the seven components of the IPC-Fipe gained strength, while two retreated at a slower pace: Housing (from 0.53% in May to 0.55% in the first four weeks of June), Food (from 1.14% to 1.15%), Transport (from -0.65% to -0.60%), Health (from 0.05% to 0.12%), Clothing (from 0.18% to 0.37%) and Education (from -0.03% to -0.01%).

On the other hand, there was a slowdown from one period to the next in Personal Expenses (from 0.31% to 0.12%).
