Instagram launches label to identify accounts that produce content with AI

Instagram announced on Monday (4) that it is launching the "AI content creator" label, to signal to users when an account creates content with artificial intelligence.
The company explains that the new label begins to be made available today, in the testing phase, and should reach more people in the "coming weeks".
Creators who choose to activate the label will have the message "AI content creator" displayed on your profile, feed, Reels, and Explore tab.

The social network admits that more users are seeing AI-generated content for the first time, while others are turning to technology to "express their creativity."
"We know people want more transparency about who or what is behind what they see, so we're taking steps to raise the bar for AI transparency on Instagram and help people recognize when something was created with AI", says the company.
