Instagram and Facebook show instability this Friday morning (12). Users report difficulties in accessing social networks, especially through the web versions, in browsers.
"Instagram is down? I'm trying to post there, but it won't load", wrote a user on X. "Instagram went down today, on Valentine's Day. What a good thing", joked another. (see repercussion below).
g1 contacted Meta, owner of Instagram, and is awaiting a response.
The problem started around 10:45 am (Brasília time). Downdetector, a platform that monitors failures in online services, registered a spike in reports of instability on Instagram, Facebook and also WhatsApp, all belonging to Meta.
The international press has also reported on the drop in Meta's services, which indicates that the problem may have global reach.
