Infra S.A. opens consultation for concession of North-South Railway terminals
Infra S.A. opened this Friday (26) the public consultation for the concession of two agricultural bulk logistics terminals on the North-South Railway, in Tocantins. The event is scheduled for September.
The deadline for receiving contributions to the future tender will remain open until July 17th, and will allow investors, logistics operators, rail system users and other interested parties to present suggestions to improve the draft notice and contract that will govern future terminal concessions.
The two projects are part of the federal government's plan to increase the participation of the private sector in railway infrastructure and strengthen the main corridors for the flow of Brazilian agricultural production, especially in the Center-North of the country.
The assets are considered strategic for the flow of agricultural production from the Center-West and the Matopiba region, which is formed by the states of Tocantins and parts of Maranhão, Piauí and Bahia.
The Porto Nacional Logistics Terminal (TPN07) is located at one of the main railway junctions, and has an area of approximately 2.4 hectares and a static capacity of 19.2 thousand tons.
The Palmeirante Logistics Terminal occupies a relevant position in the national railway network and will be granted in two lots, Lots 2 and 3.
With an area of approximately 4.72 hectares and a storage capacity of 32 thousand tons of grain, the project should expand the operational capacity of the railway corridor, in addition to strengthening the transport chain and making integration between road and rail modes more efficient.
