Inflation problem is "significant", says Fed member
Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said Thursday that he thinks the inflation problem in the United States is getting worse, in contrast to the stability he is seeing in the job market.
"My view is that right now we have a pretty significant inflation problem developing, but the job market has been largely stable," Goolsbee said in an interview with WBEZ Chicago radio.
"I'm more attentive to this side of inflation, because we were making progress and then we stopped making progress."
