"Inflation Preview": IPCA-15 rises 0.62% in May, says IBGE

The IPCA-15 (Broad National Consumer Price Index-15), considered the preview of inflation in Brazil, increased by 0.62% during the month of May. The data was released by IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), this Wednesday (27).

In April, the index registered an increase of 0.89%. A Reuters survey of economists estimated an increase of 0.53% for the period.
