Individual highlights mark Corinthians' historic season in the NBB; see the numbers

The 2025/26 Corinthians basketball season came to an end on May 26th. The black and white team was defeated by Pinheiros 88-76 in the fourth game of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) semifinal and ended up saying goodbye to the competition after losing the series 3-1.
Even without reaching the decision, Corinthians' performance was considered positive. The team exceeded expectations throughout the campaign and featured consistent performances from several players, who ended the championship with impressive numbers on different grounds.

Among the team's top scorers, the highlight was Elyjah Clark. The North American winger accumulated 752 points in 47 games, averaging 16 points per game, the best on the squad. Next comes Davaunta Thomas, with an average of 15.4 points, Victão, with 11.2, Elinho, with 10.0, and Munford, who closed the list with 9.6 points per match.
In terms of rebounds, Lucas Cauê led the statistics. The pivot participated in 50 games and ended the year with 296 rebounds, 211 defensive and 85 offensive, recording an average of 6.9 per duel. Behind him are Munford, with 4.4, as well as Elyjah Clark, Victão and Kauan Raymundo, all averaging 4.2 rebounds per game.
When it came to assistance, no player in the championship had numbers as impressive as Elinho. The point guard distributed 399 passes that resulted in baskets over 44 games, reaching an average of 9.1 assists per performance, the highest mark of the entire NBB edition.
Next among Corinthians' main game distributors are Elyjah Clark, with an average of 3.4 assists, Davaunta Thomas, with 2.6, Tico Faria, with 1.8, and Lucas Cauê, with 1.6 per match.
Combining the individual performance of its athletes with the collective work developed by coach Jece Leite, Corinthians managed to achieve its most relevant campaign since returning to the national basketball elite, which took place in 2019.
Despite recent developments, the last Brazilian title won by the club in the sport remains the 1996 Brazilian Championship, obtained before the creation of the NBB.
With the end of the season, the focus now turns to assembling the cast for the next cycle. The basketball department is already working on a new financial plan for 2026/27. Even with the need for budgetary adjustments, the board ensures that the project remains ongoing and that the sport is not at risk of being closed at Parque São Jorge.
