In a manifesto, PDT reaffirms support for Lula and asks for space on Haddad's ticket
The PDT (Democratic Labor Party), launched this Friday (3), a manifesto asking for space on the ticket of Fernando Haddad (PT), pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo. In a letter, the party reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the "construction of the São Paulo democratic front" and defended the occupation of the first substitute in one of the Senate candidatures.
"With the majority composition defined with Fernando Haddad in the government, Márcio França as vice-president, Marina Silva and Simone Tebet in the Senate, a new moment opens, that of consolidating the alliance, discussing the project that will be presented to society and recognizing the political forces that support this construction", wrote the party.
"In this sense, the occupation of the first substitute in one of the candidates on the Senate ticket represents an important gesture of recognition of the PDT's presence in this construction", he added.
In the document, the acronym suggests the name of Antonio Neto, vice-president of the PDT in São Paulo, member of the party's National Executive and president of the Central dos Sindicatos Brasileiros to occupy the position. According to them, this choice would represent "the desires of São Paulo's labor militancy".
"This project will be more solid, plural and connected with the people of São Paulo if it has, at the center of its construction, the historical and programmatic contribution of laborism."
