IEA researcher Rosana Pithan e Silva dies

Scientific researcher Rosana de Oliveira Pithan e Silva died this Sunday (24), according to the Association of Scientific Researchers of the State of São Paulo (APqC). She worked at the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA), linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo.

Rosana worked on research in the areas of food security, public policies and agribusiness. At the IEA since 2003, he also participated in studies on the milk and beef markets.

Graduated in Social Sciences from PUC-SP, in 1989 she joined the group responsible for the proposals of the Secretariat of Agriculture for the São Paulo Constitution.

The researcher also held management positions at the IEA and participated in technical publications focused on the agricultural sector. In addition, he was part of the APqC Deliberative Council for six years.

In a statement, APqC mourned the death and offered solidarity to the family, friends and co-workers.
