Ibovespa retreats with attention focused on the war in the Middle East; dollar rises

Ibovespa fell this Friday (22), with Petrobras shares among the biggest negative pressures, despite a new rise in oil prices abroad, while Azzas 2154 is the positive highlight

At around 10:30 am, the Ibovespa fell 0.80%, to 176,223.47 points.

At the same time, the dollar in cash rose 0.08%, quoted at R$5.00 on sale.

The dollar started the day close to stability against the real, while abroad the American currency rose against most other currencies, with investors paying attention to news about the war in the Middle East.

On Thursday (21), the American currency in cash closed the day with a drop of 0.05%, at R$5.0005.

At 10:30 am, the Central Bank will hold two simultaneous line auctions (sale of dollars with repurchase commitment), with a total value of US$1.0 billion, to roll over the maturity date of June 2.

At 11:30 am, the BC holds an auction of 50,000 traditional currency swap contracts to roll over the maturity date of June 1st.
