IBGE opens selection with more than 9 thousand temporary vacancies; see how to participate

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) is open for registration for two simplified selection processes that total 9,652 temporary vacancies to work in the 12th Agricultural, Forestry and Aquaculture Census and in the 1st National Census of the Homeless Population.
The opportunities are distributed in two different notices. The first offers 8,238 vacancies for mid-level operational and supervisory positions, with salaries between R$2,128 and R$4,008.

The second brings together 1,414 vacancies for quality roles and specialized areas, aimed at candidates at medium and higher levels, with salaries ranging from R$ 2,932 to R$ 5,255.40.
In addition to salaries, those hired will be entitled to benefits such as food allowance of R$ 1,192, transport allowance, pre-school allowance, proportional holidays and 13th proportional salary.

In both notices, vacancies are reserved for specific groups: 25% for black and brown people, 5% for people with disabilities, 3% for indigenous people and 2% for quilombolas.
Registrations, as well as the test dates, vary according to the notice. This is because each selection process is organized by a different panel. Below, see the main differences between them:
Summary of the differences between the notices
1st notice: 8.2 thousand temporary vacancies
In this first notice, 8,238 temporary vacancies are offered in five functions to work in the 12th Agricultural, Forestry and Aquaculture Census. Salaries vary between R$2,128 and R$4,008, in addition to benefits.
Registrations must be made exclusively online, on the website of the Brazilian Institute of Training and Training (IBFC), responsible for organizing the selection process. The deadline ends at 11pm on July 1st. The registration fee is R$ 53.

The notice provides exemption from the fee for candidates registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) and for bone marrow donors who meet the established criteria.
The main difference in this notice is the profile of the positions. The vacancies are mainly focused on data collection activities, team supervision, administrative support and technological support for census operations. Check the distribution of vacancies:

All positions require a high school diploma. In addition, candidates must:
be at least 18 years old on the date of hiring;
be up to date with their electoral obligations;
be up to date with their military obligations, in the case of men;
have physical and mental aptitude to perform the role;
meet the other requirements set out in the notice.
For the positions of Supervisory Census Agent (ACS), Regional Census Agent (ACR) and Regional Operational Agent (AOR), also A valid National Driving License (CNH) category B is required.
The objective test will last four hours and will be administered in the municipality chosen by the candidate at the time of registration, on September 27th.
To be approved, it will be necessary to obtain at least 18 points in the total assessment and answer at least one question correctly in each subject required for the intended role.
Those approved will initially be hired for up to 12 months to work in the Agricultural Census operations. 2026. Contracts may be extended as needed by IBGE, respecting the maximum limit of 48 months provided for in federal legislation for temporary hires.
During the work period, those hired will undergo periodic performance assessments. Among the criteria observed are attendance, productivity, meeting deadlines and quality of the activities performed.
Dismissal may occur if the professional presents performance considered insufficient.

September 27th - Administration of the objective test;
September 28th - Announcement of the answer key preliminary;

2nd notice: 1.4 thousand temporary vacancies
In this second notice, 1,414 temporary vacancies are offered to work in the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture and in the 1st National Census of the Homeless Population.

Of the total opportunities, 1,020 vacancies are allocated to the position of Census Analyst and 394 to the Quality Census Agent. Remuneration varies depending on the role:
Quality Census Agent (ACQ) - requires complete secondary education and offers a salary of R$2,932;
Census Analyst (AC) - requires a higher education degree in specific areas and offers a salary of R$5,255.40.
In both positions, the working day is 40 hours per week. Those hired will also be entitled to a food allowance of R$ 1,192, transportation allowance, pre-school assistance, proportional vacations and a proportional 13th salary.
The vacancies for Census Analysts cover different areas of training, such as Agronomy, Social Assistance, Librarianship, Cartography, Data Science, Accounting Sciences, Social Sciences, Educational Design, Information Technology, Economics, Production Engineering, Statistics, Geography, Geoprocessing, Journalism and other specialties.
The contracts will have an initial duration of up to 12 months, and may be extended according to the need for census operations, up to a limit of 48 months.
Registrations began on June 17th and continue until 11:59 pm on July 15th, on the website of Instituto Avalia, the panel organizing the selection.
The registration fee is R$ 41.76 for Agent Quality Census Analyst and R$37.50 for Census Analyst. The notice also provides for exemption for those enrolled in CadÚnico and bone marrow donors who meet the established requirements.
The objective tests will last four hours and will be administered in all the country's capitals and in the Federal District on August 30th. The exams will be held in different shifts:
Morning: Quality Census Agent (ACQ);
Afternoon: Census Analyst (AC).
