"I'm going to the USA to defend PIX", says Flávio Bolsonaro
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated this Friday (3) that he will travel to the United States to "defend PIX" during a panel speech at the PL's 3rd National Communication Seminar, in Rio de Janeiro.
The parliamentarian's trip is scheduled for this Saturday (4) and includes participation in the public hearing on US tariffs that will take place next Monday (6).
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has accused Flávio of "surrenderism", including criticizing the instant payments system in the context of tariffs imposed by the Donald Trump government.
Flávio argues that PIX was created during the government of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and adds that he will defend the payment system during his time in the United States.
"So, once again, people, the truth has to move faster than the lie. Our truth is this, we defend Pix, because Pix is from Brazil, it was created under President Bolsonaro's government, without taxes. And I'm going to the United States to defend our Pix, since the current president of Brazil doesn't give a damn about Brazilian companies," he said.
