Senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) celebrated the release of former federal deputy Carla Zambelli this Friday (22).

In a publication on X, Flávio made an allusion between the video published by Zambelli and the current situation of his father, Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The former president was sentenced to more than 27 years in prison for attempted coup d'état and other crimes against democracy. Since March 27, he has been serving his sentence under temporary house arrest.

"What a joy to see you like this, Carla! I was moved because, immediately, I started to imagine what it would be like when my father Jair Bolsonaro! Victory consecrated to GOD!", said Flávio.

What a joy to see you like this, Carla!

I got emotional because, immediately, I started to imagine what it would be like when I was my father @jairbolsonaro!

The Italian court denied extradition and authorized the release of former deputy Carla Zambelli in one of the cases against her in the country. The decision responds to a request from the defense, judged this Friday. The former deputy has been imprisoned in Italy since July 2025, after her name was included in Interpol's Red Diffusion as an international fugitive.

The extradition requests concern two convictions against Zambelli in Brazil. One refers to the invasion of the CNJ (National Council of Justice) system and issuance of a false arrest warrant against minister Alexandre de Moraes; and another for illegal possession of a weapon in the case in which she pointed a revolver at a man in São Paulo, on the eve of the 2022 elections.

The Court of Appeal had analyzed the two cases in the same hearing and published two different decisions, both in favor of extradition.

At the Supreme Court of Cassation, however, the request for her to return to Brazil was rejected, which led to the former deputy being released from prison in Italy.
