Karla França, 33 years old, - driver who saved a man from being run over in Apucarana, in the north of Paraná - stated in an interview with CNN Brasil that she has had a phobia of trains since she was a child. The incident involving the teacher occurred last Wednesday (3).

According to Karla, the fear of locomotives is something that has been with her for years. She also said that she had problems in adulthood because of this phobia, but that she never went to psychologists to talk about the subject.

According to the teacher, the man lost his balance while walking with the walker over the level crossing in the street. As soon as she noticed the accident, Karla abandoned the car she was driving and ran towards it.

In the images, it is possible to see the moment when the man falls on the tracks and the woman runs to lift him, seconds before the train passes.

According to the time marked on the camera, Karla reached the man at 1:39:26 pm. It was 1:39:34 pm when the train passed by them.

Karla is a teacher and was taking her daughter to school at the time the incident occurred. She spoke about what happened on her social networks, where she has more than 6 thousand followers.

The teacher stated that she doesn't even remember if she applied the handbrake, she just left her husband and daughter in the car and ran towards the man when she realized he was at risk.
