Hugh Jackman reveals intense behind-the-scenes of new film: "I've been in a bad mood"

Actor Hugh Jackman, 57, gave details about his new film "The Death of Robin Hood" and made no secret of the fact that filming was quite challenging.

In the film directed by Michael Sarnoski, the film star plays a darker version of the famous English archer and outlaw who, according to legend, stole from the rich and gave to the poor.

In an interview with the website IndieWire, Hugh recalled the first day of recording, marked by an intense mud wrestling scene: "I was totally willing, but I've never been as grumpy as I was that night. I was almost saying, 'That's enough for today'."

The actor revealed that he felt so tired that he had to rest lying on one of his co-stars before resuming filming.

"I was completely exhausted. I still have mud in places you don't even want to imagine", he joked.

"When you fight to the death, fingers in your eyes and everything, there's a strange intimacy in that closeness."

In addition to Hugh, the film also features Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård and Noah Jupe in its cast, and premiered in Brazilian cinemas last Thursday (18).

When asked about the film's message, Hugh was blunt: "Be careful what stories you embrace. We receive stories of all kinds since we were born, from the media, from our parents, from religion, from everywhere."

"What if the legend of Robin Hood was actually a creation to manipulate people? What if he never gave anything to the poor? What if he was just a brutal killer?", he asked.

"Even at the end of the film, we're not sure," he concluded.
