Helicopters crash in RJ: aircraft were in regular condition at Anac
The two helicopters that crashed into an electric vehicle yard in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest zone of Rio de Janeiro, were in good standing at Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency). The plane crash left six people dead.
In consultation with the RAB (Brazilian Aeronautical Registry) of aircraft with prefix PP-MAC and PR-DJJ, they were in "normal situation" with CVA (Airworthiness Verification Certificate) valid until March 2027 and December 2026, respectively.
The helicopter with prefix PP-MAC belonged to the company Turfik Comércio de Frutas Ltda. The PR-DJJ is owned by businessman Maurício Espíndola Dias, who was not on board at the time of the accident.
Four passengers and the pilot were on board the first aircraft. In the other helicopter there was only the pilot. Everyone died in the accident.
According to preliminary information from the authorities, the aircraft collided during flight before crashing on Sunday morning (14), causing at least 20 vehicles to catch fire.

According to CNN Brasil, one of the aircraft left Santos Dumont Airport for the Guaratiba Helicenter, also in Rio. The other aircraft left Jacarepaguá Airport bound for Angra dos Reis.

The accident
Firefighters were called at 8:59 am to respond to the incident on Avenida das Américas. To date, there have been six confirmed fatalities, all crew members of the aircraft involved in the accident.
Around 45 soldiers and 15 vehicles were involved in the incident. The Recreio dos Bandeirantes Military Fire Detachment was immediately moved to the location, with support from specialized teams from the Special Operations Group (GOEsp) and the corporation's Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Coordination.
In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the case is ongoing at the 42nd DP (Recreio dos Bandeirantes). Forensic examination was requested for the location and agents are carrying out investigations to investigate the facts.
The incident, which is still ongoing, still has the support of the Fire Department, CET (Traffic Engineering Company), Comlurb and teams from the 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes), who work to isolate the area.
The FAB (Brazilian Air Force) reported that it is already investigating the air accident through Cenipa (Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center). Read the note:

During the Initial Action, qualified and accredited professionals apply specific techniques to collect and confirm data, preserve elements, initial verification of damage caused to the aircraft or by the aircraft, in addition to collecting other information necessary for the investigation".
