Helicopter accident leaves 14 dead in Saudi Arabia, says state agency

A helicopter belonging to a Saudi oil company crashed on Sunday (28) in Ras Tanura, on the east coast of Saudi Arabia, in the Gulf, west of the Strait of Hormuz, killing 14 citizens, the state news agency reported, adding that the cause was still unknown.
The company had on Friday resumed crude oil shipments at its terminal in Ras Tanura, in the Gulf, after an interruption of nearly four months.
"Relevant authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of the accident," the state news agency added.
The incident occurred at 6 a.m. local time, the state agency said, without providing further details.
Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, joined the rush to move cargo after Middle Eastern producers increased oil and gas production and exports ahead of a tentative agreement to suspend the war between the United States and the Iran.
