The hearing between the Road Workers Union and the bus companies, which was scheduled for this Wednesday (8), at 11 am, at the Regional Labor Court of the 1st Region, was postponed until next Monday (13).

According to the president of the Road Workers Union, Sebastião José, the change was defined by the TRT following the results of the assembly held this Tuesday (7), which maintained the category's strike status.

At the assembly, with around 600 road workers present, the category decided to make the salary adjustment proposal more flexible, demanding a 12% increase, divided into two installments of 6%, one in June and the other in November.

4.5% suggested by Rio Ônibus was offered, but was rejected by the workers.

Rio Ônibus also informed that it continues in negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement and hopes that the situation will be resolved.

The workers also maintained their request for food vouchers worth R$1,000. The state of strike remains maintained while negotiations continue.

Understand the strike
The strike began on June 29, after the failure of negotiations for the category's salary campaign. Without consensus between workers and companies, road workers decided to start the wall movement while demanding improvements in working conditions and salary adjustments.

Currently, the category is in a state of strike, with part of the fleet in circulation.

Among the main demands of the category are:

- Salary floor of R$4,000 for drivers and R$5,000 for articulated bus drivers;
- 17% adjustment for all workers;
- Food voucher of R$1,000;
- Health and dental plan;
- End of temporary contracts at Mobi-Rio, with the transition to the CLT regime.
