Hannah Montana actor says it was "impossible" to work outside of Disney

Actor Mitchel Musso, 34, revealed that working during Disney Channel's golden years meant sacrificing opportunities outside the network.

In an interview with "The Joe Vulpis Podcast", last Wednesday (24), he stated that it was "impossible" to work outside of Disney during the "Hannah Montana" era.

"I don't know if it would be possible to do something bigger than Hannah [Montana] when Hannah was on the air, right? That was something extraordinary", he.

"So, I'm sure there were offers to my agency, but it was impossible to accept because we were very tied to the contract with Disney. If it wasn't a Disney Channel Original Movie, we couldn't do it," he revealed.

According to Mitchel Musso, he turned down the opportunity to voice Aang in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" due to his strict commitments with Disney.

The performer of the character Oliver Oken, one of Miley Stewart's closest friends on Hannah Montana, also said that the friendship built with Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment became the most rewarding part of the experience.

"It was our elementary, middle school. They were our formative years. We graduated in a class of three. Just me, Miley and Emily, right? So, it was all for us. We never wanted to be separated... We had a lot of inside jokes. It was our little group, our clique, you know, the three of us", he revealed.
