Hamas, Al Qaeda, PCC and CV: See organizations that the US considers terrorists

The Red Command and the PCC (First Command of the Capital) will join more than 90 groups that the United States considers Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

The two criminal groups will be on a list that also includes Hamas, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, the Islamic State, Boko Haram, among many others.

Last year, 27 groups were added to this set. This includes several associations in the Americas, in the wake of the Donald Trump government's pressure against cartels and drug trafficking in the region.

Cartel de Los Soles, Tren de Aragua, Cartel Jalisco Nova Geração, Cartel de Sinaloa, Los Lobos, Los Choneros and Clan del Golfo are some of the organizations that entered this classification.

With the designation of a Foreign Terrorist Organization, it becomes illegal for a person in the United States or "subject to U.S. jurisdiction" to knowingly provide material support or resources to the designated group.

In addition, foreign members or "representatives" of a Foreign Terrorist Organization are prohibited from entering the United States and, under "certain circumstances," may be deported.
