The pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad (PT), stated this Wednesday (17) that the definition of the ticket for this year's elections depends on an internal decision by the PSB, but said that he has also been working to help in the negotiations.

"It's a subject that interests me a lot, but there is also an internal PSB issue. So, I'm trying to help as much as possible", said Haddad during an event at PUC.

Allies assess that the delay in defining the ticket has harmed the PT member's pre-campaign for the government of São Paulo.

In an interview with CNN last Tuesday (16), former minister Márcio França stated that the uncertainty about who will occupy the vice position or run for the Senate creates a delicate situation for the political group, while the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), is already participating in events alongside allies.

Haddad said that he has been talking to political leaders to advance the formation of the ticket and mentioned the national scenario when commenting on the opposition's movement.

"Just yesterday we had a conversation with the vice-president of the Republic. The president is returning from a trip, he went to discuss matters of national interest at the G7, precisely because of this new threat that hangs over us due to the attitude, not now of Eduardo, but of Flávio, towards the American government. But I think things will be resolved."

The former Minister of Finance also commented on the most recent Real Time Big Data survey, which showed a reduction in the difference in voting intentions between him and Tarcísio. According to Haddad, the new indices represent a positive sign for his campaign.

"I always see research with some reservations, especially now. The election time hasn't started, the campaign hasn't started. But what matters about this research is the trend", he said.

"Tarcísio's drop from 18 to 13 means an important advance", he stated. "If the difference continues to fall at this rate, it will be good for the State of São Paulo."

A survey released on Tuesday shows Tarcísio leading the first round scenario, with 46% of voting intentions, compared to 33% for Haddad.
