GWM confirmed this Tuesday (30) the installation of a new factory in Espírito Santo, in the municipality of Aracruz. The industrial project arises from an agreement signed with the state administration to expand the Chinese automaker's operations in Brazil. Factory should start operating in 2029.

The Espírito Santo plant will have an unprecedented format in the country by adopting the multi-energy concept, which makes it possible to assemble models powered by electricity, hybrids and also conventional combustion versions. All using the same production base.
GWM announced the ORA 5 hatch in the new plant's manufacturing schedule. The implementation of the complex foresees the direct opening of 9,000 jobs.

According to a statement from the government of Espírito Santo, the geographical definition of the new industrial park responds to logistical and institutional criteria evaluated by the management of GWM.
The note also states that the proximity to the country's major consumption centers and access to the coastal strip of Aracruz were identified by GWM as determining factors to optimize the flow of parts and the future distribution of the cars produced.
According to the statement, the regulatory stability of Espírito Santo and the direct articulation with the state public management for the transfer of the land completed the requirements for the consolidation of the investment.

The new industrial hub in Aracruz is part of GWM's investment schedule in the national market, which foresees the investment of R$ 10 billion over a period of a decade.
The manufacturer's expectation is to meet the internal demand for vehicles and, in a later stage, direct production to the foreign market, encompassing countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay.

GWM launched the Ora on the Brazilian market 5, the brand's first 100% electric SUV in the country, for a competitive price of R$ 159 thousand.
The model arrives in a single version, without a specific configuration name, with the aim of intensifying the competition and price positioning in the battery-powered compact sports utility vehicle segment.
The vehicle is larger than the Ora 03 hatch, measuring 4.47 m in length and with a 2.72 m wheelbase, which ensures a comfortable internal space for the occupants.

Despite the gain in physical size, the trunk volume of 362 liters is below the capacity recorded by most of its direct competitors in the category.
In the mechanical part, the SUV is equipped with a front-wheel drive engine with 204 hp and instantaneous torque of 26.5 kgfm, in addition to a 58-liter battery. kWh that ensures a range of 349 kilometers.
The suspension adjustment is firm and the handling is similar to that of the brand's hatchback, distinguished by its greater height in relation to the ground and the higher driving position.

The model's standard items package includes a panoramic sunroof, 14.6-inch multimedia center, 50-watt induction cell phone charger and router Native Wi-Fi for up to eight devices.
In terms of physical safety and driving assistance, the model comes standard with six airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant and automatic emergency braking.
