Guto Miguel repeats João Fonseca's greatest feat as a youth and makes history
Like João Fonseca, Luís Guto Miguel is also a youth Grand Slam champion. The 17-year-old from Goiás beat the American Michael Antonius this Saturday (6), and became Roland Garros Junior champion.
Fonseca was champion of the US Open, in 2023, this being his biggest title in his youth career. With that achievement, he took 1st position in the youth ranking. With that, Gutão repeats João's feat, less than three years later. He should also take the lead in the youth rankings.
In addition to the two, Tiago Fernandes (Australian 2010), Thiago Wild (US Open 2018) also won Grand Slam titles in the under-18 category.

Luis "Guto" Miguel is Roland Garros Junior champion. The 17-year-old from Goiás dominated and beat the American Michael Antonius by 2 sets to 0, with splits of 6/3 and 6/3, this Saturday (6), and became the first Brazilian to win the youth Grand Slam.
With calmness, Guto confirmed his favoritism against the 13th in the youth ranking. The Brazilian is the 4th best ranked among athletes under 18 years old, and is the number 1 seed in the tournament.
Gutão achieved the first break of the first set at 3-2. Afterwards, he managed to maintain his dominance and closed the set at 6-3. In the second set, he repeated the feat and raised the level to close the game at 6-3.
