Grande Otelo Award 2026: check the complete list of nominees

The Brazilian Cinema Academy released this Tuesday (2) the complete list of nominees for the 2026 Grande Otelo Award. The award ceremony for the statuettes is scheduled to take place on the evening of August 4th at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro.

This year, the award will celebrate 25 years since its creation and the event will recognize several films, directors, documentaries and short films. In the list of nominations, "The Secret Agent", by Kleber Mendonça Filho, leads with the highest number of nominations - in total there are 18.

In addition to the traditional categories, the public will decide the winner of Grande Otelo for Best Film by the Popular Jury. Voting will open over the next week on the Academy's official website.
