♬ Julia Guedes' own ancestry and the presence of Wagner Tiso - as the arranger of the strings that adorn the song "Zóim", Julia's partnership with Tommy Coelho - signal that the singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer from Minas Gerais will echo influences from Clube da Esquina on her first album, scheduled for August on the Dobra Discos label. Julia is the granddaughter of none other than Beto Guedes, a reference composer in the Minas Gerais pop universe of the 1970s and 1980s.
However, at the same time as she reaffirms the strength of the dynasty and the Minas Gerais song in recording her original repertoire, Julia Guedes also intends to follow her own path, create her own group and make her own name on the album that she herself shaped by orchestrating the musical production alongside Antonio Neves and Paulo Emmery, credited as musical co-producer.
Singer and composer from Minas Gerais revealed in the 2000s as vocalist and guitarist of the band Graveola e o Lixo Polifônico, Luiza Brina writes the arrangement of "Sus mareas", the only song composed in Spanish among the 12 collected by Julia Guedes on the album.
Singer and songwriter of Maranhão origin, Tori writes and sings with Julia the song "Estranha cloud", in addition to having done all the choruses on the album with the Rio ascendant Dora Morelenbaum.
Born in Belo Horizonte (MG) and raised between the capital of Minas Gerais and Conceição do Mato Dentro (MG), Julia Guedes usually starts with the piano when composing, having already been awarded as an instrumentalist in 2023 at the same time that she was collecting and presenting in shows the original repertoire that she records on her debut album.
"Contra o medo" (song recorded with musical production by Lucca Noacco and co-produced by the artist) and "Poesia total" are in the album's repertoire and form, with the aforementioned "Zóim", the trio of tracks presented in the tripo single released today, July 2nd, as an initial sample of Julia Guedes' first album.
