Government blocks R$8.3 billion from Ministries and infrastructure regulators

The federal government blocked, through Decree 12,990, published on Friday (29), the budget of Ministries and infrastructure regulatory agencies. The amount adds up to R$8,338,406,920 in resources that are no longer available for the technical departments.

Among the ministries in the sector, Cities was the most impacted by the blockade. The Department, responsible for urban development policies, was left without R$3.797 billion. Followed by the Ministry of Regional Development, which had R$2 billion of its cash blocked.

Still on the esplanade, the Ministry of Transport is left without access to R$1.718 billion, the Ministry of Ports and Airports without R$447 million, the Ministry of Communications without R$17 million and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, without R$43 million.

Among the regulatory agencies, ANTT (National Land Transport Agency) had R$57 million blocked from its budget.

Next are Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency), with R$51.8 million blocked, and ANA (National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency), with R$45 million.

The ANP (National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency), with R$38 million, Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency), with R$34.3 million, Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency), with R$24 million, ANM (National Mining Agency), with R$22.6 million, and the National Transport Agency also had resources blocked. Waterways, with R$ 14.2 million.
