Google and SpaceX close billion-dollar deal to boost AI

According to the agreement, Google will pay US$920 million (around R$4.7 billion) per month until June 2029 to use approximately 110,000 Nvidia graphics processors (GPUs), components widely used in training and operating AI systems.
Over the entire contract, payments can reach almost US$30 billion (R$153.7 billion). The full monthly fee will begin to be paid in October 2026.

Last month, Anthropic, the company responsible for the Claude chatbot, also signed a contract with SpaceX to rent one of its main data centers in Memphis, in the United States. The agreement provides for payments of US$1.25 billion (R$6.4 billion) per month.
The facilities were originally built to serve xAI, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, which merged with SpaceX in February.
The agreements with Google and Anthropic were announced just days before SpaceX's IPO, which could become the largest in history. The company is expected to be valued at US$1.8 trillion (R$9.22 trillion).
