Gol receives the first Airbus of its fleet this Monday (6)

Gol Linhas Aéreas is expected to receive its first Airbus, in this case an A330-242, on Monday night (6).

The A330, coming from the Spanish company Wamos Air, which departed from Madrid Airport, should arrive at Galeão Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, at 8pm.

The aircraft will be part of the operation of Gol's new international routes that begin this Wednesday (8), connecting the capital of Rio de Janeiro to New York, and in October, with the flight leaving from Rio to Lisbon.

On the FlightRadar24 air tracking platform, the A330, registered EC-NBN, appears over the Atlantic Ocean en route to Brazil.

In total, the company will have three weekly frequencies on the route, which will be its first operation with a twin-aisle aircraft, marking the end of the single fleet of Boeing 737s. The operation should take place until the end of October, with a scheduled resumption in March 2027.

On the flight to Lisbon, operations should begin in October this year.

In addition to the two, the company will also fly to Paris and Orlando, but there are no confirmed dates yet
