A Gol flight attendant recorded moments shortly after the earthquakes hit Venezuela on Wednesday (24). He and part of the crew were in Caracas watching the Brazil game against Scotland on the ground floor of a hotel when the earthquakes hit the region. In a statement, Gol stated that everyone is well and in a safe place.

"The alarm sounded and, in less than 15 seconds, the earthquake happened", reported the Brazilian in the video. "Thank God, we were watching the game downstairs, in the cafeteria, because if we had been in the room, it would have been tragic. Look at our hotel."
▶ Context: Two earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 hit Venezuela within a span of less than a minute on Wednesday.
In the images, it is possible to see damaged walls on several floors of the hotel. The commissioner shows the street and reports that some people were injured, including him, who fell into the pool as he left the place. (See the video above).
"There was an earthquake, very strong, I fell into the pool, I ended up falling, I hurt my elbow. My crew is here, the captain, the flight attendant, she was hurt a little", he says in the recording.
At the time he recorded the video, the Brazilian stated that he had not heard from the co-pilot, who had remained in the room. g1 contacted Gol. Without mentioning the co-pilot, the company stated that it is in contact with the crew in Caracas, that everyone is well and in a safe place.
Gol also suspended all flights to or from Caracas from June 25th to July 5th. Affected customers will be able to reschedule their trip, change their route or opt for a refund, at no extra charge.
There is still no information about the crew's return to Brazil or departure from Venezuela.

On Thursday night, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) confirmed the death of two Brazilians after the earthquakes in Venezuela.
"The MRE informs, with great regret, the death of a Brazilian citizen as a result of the earthquakes that hit Venezuela. The MRE informs that it is providing consular assistance to the families of the victims."
According to interlocutors who follow the case, the victims were not from the same family and died in different collapses. One of the deaths occurred in Caracas, the country's capital, and the other is still being investigated.
According to the latest report, released on Thursday (25), 235 people died in the country. More than 1,500 were injured and around 200 remain under rubble.
A website created to gather information on the missing has almost 40,000 records. The number was not independently verified nor confirmed by the government.
This Thursday, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated that he spoke with the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and that the Brazilian government will send humanitarian aid to the country.
"We will send, this Friday (26) in the morning, a humanitarian urban search and rescue mission, on a FAB KC-390 plane, which will leave from Guarulhos Airport, with 36 firefighters from the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Paraná, four technicians from the National Civil Defense and another four technicians from the National Telecommunications Agency. With them will be nine tons of equipment to help in the search and rescue of the victims", wrote the president.

Lula also said that the government will send this Saturday (27) a plane with equipment to set up a field hospital, one hundred water purifiers with solar panels, medicines and medical material for surgeries.
According to projections by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the number of deaths could increase as teams are able to access the most destroyed areas and advance in the search for the missing.
The interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that the government is working with private companies to mobilize heavy machinery and speed up rescues.
