Goalkeeper Bruno's ex-wife who disappeared left a letter and mentioned loan sharks

The ex-wife of goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes and mother of two children with him, Dayanne Rodrigues do Carmo, aged 39, who is missing, wrote a farewell letter in which she states that she had suffered threats from loan sharks. "I am receiving threats from loan sharks, everything is on my phone", he wrote in the message.

According to the letter that Itatiaia had access to, Dayanne asks for help and makes an appeal regarding custody of her children.

Disappearance of Dayanne
This Friday (3), the Civil Police of Minas Gerais reported the disappearance of Dayanne Rodrigues do Carmo, aged 39, in Ribeirão das Neves.

According to the police, the disappearance was reported by her current partner and, so far, the evidence points to a voluntary disappearance, with no signs of a crime.

The incident report was registered at the 2nd Police Station of Ribeirão das Neves. According to the information presented, the partner reported that Dayanne left home on Thursday (2), stating that she was going to her mother's house. At around 11 am, she left her children in the care of her maternal grandmother, but did not return home or maintain contact with family members.

Dayanne's partner also reported that, upon arriving home, he found letters written by her in a farewell tone, which caused him concern. He then located the woman's cell phone and identified conversations with people who presented themselves as loan sharks and charged amounts related to debts.

The Rio de Janeiro State Court maintained the arrest of Bruno Fernandes das Dores de Souza, known as goalkeeper Bruno, after a custody hearing held in May this year.

In the decision, judge Danilo Nunes Cronemberger Miranda stated that the arrest warrant against Bruno remained valid and that the judicial measure had not been revoked. Furthermore, he ordered that the former athlete be sent to a "penal institution compatible" with the semi-open regime.

Bruno was transferred to the José Frederico Marques Prison, in Benfica, in the North of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the Rio de Janeiro Military Police, Bruno, who was considered a fugitive from justice, did not offer resistance and collaborated with the teams during the arrest. The former Flamengo player had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The arrest occurred after an exchange of information between the Rio de Janeiro corporation and the Minas Gerais Military Police. After being detained, the goalkeeper was taken to the 125th DP (São Pedro da Aldeia) to serve the arrest warrant. The incident was later forwarded to the 127th DP (Armação dos Búzios).

Beginning of the case
The case began in June 2010, when Eliza Samudio, then 25 years old, disappeared after telling friends that she was going on a trip. At the time, Bruno was Flamengo's starting goalkeeper and was at the height of his career.

The two had an extramarital relationship that resulted in a pregnancy in 2009. Eliza made the pregnancy public and sought recognition of paternity from Bruno, who denied being the father. The dispute gave rise to a series of legal conflicts and incident records.

Eliza's death and planned plot
Investigations showed that Eliza's death was the result of a plot planned by goalkeeper Bruno. In February 2010, Bruninho, the couple's son, was born. Months later, in June, the child's mother disappeared.

Eliza was last seen at Bruno's farm, in Minas Gerais. At the scene, the police found evidence, such as pieces of clothing and diapers. The baby was later located on the outskirts of Belo Horizonte.
