GO: Man had a jealous crisis before woman asked him to stop car
Driver Ivan Rodrigues Cardoso reportedly had a jealous attack over his girlfriend Kimmberlly Gisele Pereira Rodrigues, 21, inside a bar, moments before the couple suffered an accident and the young woman died during the crash. The case happened on May 4th, in Alexândia, Goiás.
The story gained repercussion after a video made by the young woman, minutes before the accident, showing her afraid of the way her boyfriend was driving the vehicle. At one point, she even begs Ivan to stop driving.
CNN Brasil found that the elements found indicate that the man had a jealous crisis and took the risk of killing himself by driving the vehicle after consuming alcohol, demonstrating indifference for the victim's life.
In a statement to the police, Ivan also confirmed that he felt jealous because some boys were talking to the young woman in the bar and a brief argument took place between the couple and their friends.
In an interview with CNN Brasil, Kimberlly's mother reinforced the thesis about jealousy. She said that, only after her daughter's accident, she heard reports that he was possessive of her, that his driver's license was expired and that Ivan already had other police records: "I said that I didn't trust Ivan driving, because he ran too much on the bill," she said.
After the accident, the man was temporarily arrested for feminicide with possible intent.

Jealousy and fight at the bar
According to the investigation, on May 3, a Sunday, Ivan, Kimmberly and three friends spent the day at a farm drinking alcoholic beverages. Records of this consumption were made on Kimmberly's cell phone and in posts on Ivan's social networks around 8 pm.

The young people went to a bar in the city, where they stayed until midnight.
Already inside the car, one of the group's friends, who was sober, offered to drive the vehicle and get everyone home safely, but Ivan refused to hand over the steering. At that moment all the friends got out of the car and asked Kimmberly to get out too, but she refused and said he would take her home.
On the way, Kimmberly panicked due to the way her boyfriend was driving the vehicle, at which point she recorded the video expressing her fear.
In testimony, Ivan claimed that he saw a figure on the road, thought it was an animal and, when pulling the steering wheel, lost control of the vehicle. CNN Brasil tries to contact the young man's defense.
