The global industrial PMI (purchasing managers index) was stable in the comparison between April and May, at 52.6, according to research by S&P Global, in partnership with JPMorgan, released this Monday (1).

The indicator remained above its neutral mark of 50 for the tenth consecutive month.

According to the report, PMI data indicates that growth in global manufacturing production accelerated to a level close to a five-year high in May.

However, doubts persist about whether this recovery will sustain, amid reports of customers bringing forward purchases to mitigate expected price increases and supply chain disruptions.
