Gil do Vigor criticizes Virginia's stance: "Extremely irresponsible"

Gil do Vigor, 34, commented on the importance of social responsibility for content creators. During the program "Papo de Segunda", he gave his opinion on the repercussion of the video of influencer Virginia Fonseca, 27, kissing a monkey.

The ex-BBB argued that, along with the power of influencers, also comes the social role of influencing people. For him, it is necessary to pay attention to the messages transmitted to the public.

"But I'm going to be very honest and clear here: you can't ignore irresponsibility. I think that, when you take on the role of influencer, you have a role along with all the benefits of being an influencer", he stated.

He gave an example by mentioning the influencer Virginia: "We're talking about Virginia, who was recently elected the most influential person in Brazil, and we can't help but talk about the influence she has and the audience she reaches.

During the interview, Gil do Vigor reinforced the importance of influencers studying and informing themselves to be responsible with the content they disseminate on social networks.

"If you don't want to get into issues that are thorny, but are important, the least you can do is have a complete study, an anti-racist preparation", he said, referring to the video in which Virginia kisses a monkey.

"You need to have racial literacy, because if your content hurts someone, it's your responsibility", he reinforced.
