German industrial production rises 0.4% in April compared to March
Germany's industrial production rose 0.4% in April compared to March, according to seasonally adjusted data published this Tuesday (9) by Destatis, the country's statistics office.
The result was below the average projections of analysts consulted by FactSet, who predicted an increase of 0.8% in the period.
In the annual comparison, German industrial production fell 0.5% in April.
The March data was revised: in relation to February, there was a drop of 0.1% (the preliminary reading was -0.7%), while the annual indicator fell 3.4% (from -2.8%).
