Gaviões da Fiel defends the vote of the Faithful Fan and asks for support for the reform of the Corinthians Statute
By Larissa Beppler | Central do Timão newsroom
Gaviões da Fiel, Corinthians' main organized fan base, published this Sunday (7) an official note in defense of the participation of the Football Associate (Fiel Torcedor) in the club's electoral process. The demonstration takes place less than two weeks before the General Assembly that will vote on the proposal to reform Corinthians' statute.
Voting is scheduled for June 20th, a Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, at Parque São Jorge. Among the various points of the reform, one of the most debated topics is precisely the possibility of members linked to the Fiel Torcedor program starting to participate in the choice of the club's president from the 2026 elections onwards.

In the released note, Gaviões classified the measure as "an essential step for the future of Corinthians" and stated that the club is experiencing one of the most important moments in its institutional history. For the organization, the expansion of the electoral college represents a break with past practices and could inaugurate a new cycle of management that is more responsible, sustainable and aligned with the size of Corinthians fans.
The fans argue that the inclusion of the Football Associate in the electoral process follows models adopted by large clubs around the world and contributes to the institutional strengthening of the association. According to the organizers, the measure could also generate new sources of revenue for Corinthians, by encouraging fans to join associative activities linked to the right to political participation.
"There is no loss for the member. There is no loss to the social club. On the contrary: there is, yes, a concrete opportunity to strengthen financially, institutionally and get closer to Corinthians' greatest strength: its fans", says an excerpt from the statement.
Gaviões still maintains that the fans' participation in choosing the president represents a commitment to transparency, administrative responsibility and the reconstruction of the club. For the organization, the statutory reform as a whole brings relevant advances to the modernization of Corinthian governance, but considers the issue of the Fiel Torcedor vote to be one of the most determining points of the package of changes.
"The authorization for the Football Associate to participate in the selection of the president from 2026 onwards is an essential step in this process", highlights another excerpt.
Debate on reform gains strength
The Gaviões demonstration reinforces the mobilization movement around statutory reform, which has been debated for months behind the political scenes at Corinthians. The project contemplates changes in different areas of the club's administration, including electoral rules, governance mechanisms and structural changes in the institutional organization.
The proposal that allows Football Associates to participate in presidential elections has become one of the main topics of discussion among members, advisors and fans. Defenders of the measure argue that the change increases the representativeness of the electoral process and brings the club closer to its fan base. In a vote carried out by the club's Deliberative Council, the topic was voted on separately and received approval from the plenary.
The final decision will be made by the members eligible to vote at the General Assembly on the 20th.
Central do Timão editorial had already defended increased participation
Gaviões da Fiel's position adds to public demonstrations in favor of expanding fan participation in the club's political life. In an editorial published by Central do Timão on March 8, the portal defended the proposal to include Football Associates in the Corinthians electoral process.
In the text, the Central argued that Corinthians was born as a popular club and that the expansion of democratic participation represents an evolution compatible with its history and institutional identity. The editorial also highlighted that the modernization of participation mechanisms could help to bring fans even closer to the club's strategic decisions. Click HERE to read.

FOOTBALL MEMBER'S VOTE (FAITHFUL FAN): AN ESSENTIAL STEP TO CORINTHIANS' FUTURE
There are 13 days left and Corinthians is experiencing one of the most important moments in its history. After recent decisions that mark a break with past practices, the club has before it the concrete chance to start a new cycle, more responsible, sustainable and aligned with its greatness.
And this change necessarily involves your vote, associates.
The authorization for Football Associates (loyal fans) to participate in the selection of the president from 2026 onwards is an essential step in this process. This is a modern measure, adopted by major clubs around the world, which expands participation, strengthens the institution and paves the way for new, potentially million-dollar revenues that currently do not enter Corinthians' coffers.
There is no loss for the member. There is no harm to the social club. On the contrary: There is, indeed, a concrete opportunity to strengthen financially, institutionally and get closer to Corinthians' greatest strength: its fans.
The vote of the Football Associate (loyal fan) is not just an administrative choice. It is a clear sign of commitment to the future, to transparency and to the responsibility of rebuilding a club that needs to face its challenges with greatness and courage.
The statute reform, as a whole, brings important advances to the modernization and governance of Corinthians. But this point, in particular, is decisive for what needs to be built from now on.
This is the time to break, once and for all, with practices that no longer fit at Corinthians and pave the way for a new chapter. A renewed Corinthians, supported by the strength of its fans, who for 116 years have shown that they are capable of rebuilding, resisting and making the club reborn stronger.
Vote in favor of the Football Associate (Loyal Fan)!
