The mother of athlete and influencer Gabriel Ganley spoke out after the death of her son, who was found dead last Saturday (23).

On social media, Clarisse Ganley described her son's departure as a "fatality" and stated that family, friends, athletes, partners, sponsors and coaches are supporting each other in the midst of a "moment of so much pain."

The young athlete's early death generated great repercussions on social media and in the bodybuilding world after being confirmed by Integral Médica, a sports supplement company of which he was part.

To date, the official cause of what led to Ganley's death has not been disclosed.

In a message to Ganley's coach, his mother wrote: "Marcelo Cruz, thank you for everything, and we're counting on you to carry our boy's legacy forward!".

According to his son's last wish, Ganley's farewell will be done privately for family and friends, in a cremation ceremony.

"As was his wish, he will be cremated in a simple ceremony reserved for family and friends. But we ask that tomorrow, around 11 am, whoever can, say a prayer, a thought, send a vibration of light to Gabriel", he wrote.

"Gabriel was a meteor! His time here on Earth was quick, intense and indescribable. He was driven by the love of sport, fans, friends, family and, above all, bodybuilding. His drive, his charisma, his energy and his way of embracing life will never fade. I thank everyone for the immense love they always had with my baby. Our little baby will always be present in our lives and in every heart he touched on this journey.

Sudden death
Ganley's death is being investigated as suspicious, according to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat.

The SSP stated that the victim was located by a friend, and that "no apparent signs of violence were found at the scene".

An examination was carried out at the scene and the case was registered as "suspicious death - sudden death.

In situations like this, the registration of a suspicious death does not necessarily mean evidence of a crime, but rather a classification used when the cause of death is not yet clear and depends on expert examinations to be determined.
