Game between Corinthians and Ferroviária for the Copa do Brasil Feminina has changed date and time

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced a change in the round of 16 table of the Women's Copa do Brasil. With this, the confrontation between Corinthians and Ferroviária gained a new date and also a new time.

Initially scheduled for July 23rd, a Thursday, at 3pm, the duel moved to the 20th, Monday, at 8pm. Despite the change in schedule, the match will continue to be held at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara, the stage defined by draw by the CBF itself for the only game of the phase.

According to the entity, the rescheduling occurred following a request from Ferroviária, the team hosting the match, which had the agreement of the broadcaster responsible for broadcasting rights. SporTV will continue to show the match exclusively on closed TV.

When the original schedule was released at the end of June, the time chosen for the game generated repercussions. The attacking midfielder and captain of Corinthians, Gabi Zanotti, used social media to mock the "attractive schedule" defined by the CBF.

Corinthians secured their place in the round of 16 by beating Palmeiras 1-0 at Allianz Parque. The only goal of the match was scored by Gabi Zanotti, guaranteeing Brabas' place in the knockout stage. Ferroviária, in turn, advanced after scoring an 8-0 rout over UDA, from Alagoas.

Before the decisive duel for the Copa do Brasil, the teams will face each other again for the Campeonato Paulista. The appointment is scheduled for July 17th, at 7pm, at Fazendinha, for the state competition.
