One of the main defenders in world football, Gabriel Magalhães has always made a point of showing his love for Corinthians. Despite the affection and support, the athlete never defended Timão's colors on the field, but he dreams of this feat. The person who revealed the 28-year-old player's desire was Gabrielle Figueiredo, the defender's wife.

In an interview with Fala Aí - Especial Copa, from Uol, Gabrielle talked about the athlete's feelings towards the black and white club and also about how this spills over into the family.

"He's very Corinthian. Crazy, crazy. He has Gaviões clothes, a bath towel, things that he gets and keeps to use. Even my daughter uses them sometimes, and he keeps insisting that she learn to like it. Now she's starting to understand and has started to like it. I don't really follow it, but I have to support it. It basically became my team too. In the future, it's his dream to be there, so I'll have to be part of it", he said.

When possible, due to the time difference, the athlete watches Timão's games, but during vacation periods for Arsenal and the Brazilian team, it is normal to see Gabriel Magalhães closely following his favorite team, directly from the northern sector of the Neo Química Arena. On some occasions, the star was even seen leaving or arriving for the match using the subway.

"He really likes going with his family and the guys. We live a long way from Itaquera, so it's more viable to go by subway. And it's fine with him, he likes being in the middle of Gaviões, it makes him happy. I just tell him to be careful, not to get into fights or anything, but he loves going. If he's in Brazil and there's a game, he wants to be like that", said the player's wife.

Formed in Avaí's youth teams, Gabriel Magalhães played for a short time in Brazilian football. At 28 years old, the defender is in his prime, having just been champion of the Premier League and runner-up in Europe, and arrives at the World Cup as the undisputed starter for the Brazilian team.
