Family and friends say goodbye this Monday (25) to bodybuilder and fitness influencer Gabriel Ganley. The wake will be followed by a private cremation ceremony scheduled for 11am. The information was released by Clarisse Ganley, the athlete's mother, in a post on social media.

Gabriel, aged 22, was found dead on Saturday (23), in his apartment located in Mooca, a neighborhood in the east of São Paulo. The case was registered as a suspicious death in the 42nd Police District, in Parque São Lucas. The cause of death has not yet been officially announced.

On Sunday afternoon (24), the young man's mother spoke for the first time about the loss in a message on Instagram and informed that, this Monday, "he will be cremated in a simple ceremony reserved for family and friends".

In the publication, Clarisse stated that her son's death was "a fatality" and highlighted the unity between family, friends, athletes, sponsors and coaches in this time of grief and pain.

Sudden death
Ganley's death is being investigated as suspicious, according to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat.

The SSP stated that the victim was located by a friend, and that "no apparent signs of violence were found at the scene".

An examination was carried out at the scene and the case was registered as "suspicious death - sudden death.

In situations like this, the registration of a suspicious death does not necessarily mean evidence of a crime, but rather a classification used when the cause of death is not yet clear and depends on expert examinations to be determined.
