Fuvest opens registrations for the second simulated entrance exam with two phases

Fuvest, the foundation responsible for the selection processes for admission to USP (University of São Paulo), announced this Tuesday (9) the opening of registrations for the second simulation of the 2027 entrance exam. The test will have two stages, one objective and the other discursive. Registration is open until July 7th and must be made via the foundation's website.

The first phase, which takes place on July 26th, will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions, simulating the first phase of the real entrance exam. Participants who obtain better classifications will be invited to the second phase, which includes the production of a dissertation essay.

The discursive stage, in turn, is scheduled for August 16th and the texts will be corrected by the same correction board as the official test. According to Fuvest, candidates with a minimum score of 24 points in the first phase will be invited, and those who obtain the highest score out of 10,080, a number that represents the limit of students invited.

In April this year, Fuvest carried out the first simulation, with 25,747 participants. The two editions follow the new exam format, with 80 questions - ten fewer than the previous model - and five hours in length. The most recent edition of the entrance exam has already brought changes: more interdisciplinary questions and a greater presence of content from philosophy, sociology, arts and physical education.

Participation in the simulation does not replace registration in the entrance exam nor does it guarantee a bonus in the official selection process, which will have its own calendar. Registration for the selection process that gives access to USP (University of São Paulo) courses begins on August 17th and ends on October 9th.
