Futsal: Renatinho highlights Corinthians' victory and sends a message to the fans

Corinthians took to the court, this Wednesday (03), beat the AD Indaiatuba team 3-1, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, and became leader of the Paulista Futsal Championship. The campaign places Timão among the tournament leaders and represents one of the club's best starts in the State Championship in recent years.

In an interview after the match, winger Renatinho commented on the importance of the result achieved, and took the opportunity to call up Fiel Torcida for next Monday's match, against Santo André, again at Parque São Jorge.

"Man, the victory within Paulista is really important. We were in fourth place, with two games less than Magnus, who today is in first place with 13 points. We reached 13 points with one game less. I think today's game was of total importance. And also to win again, we know our mission", he said.

"On Monday it was an important game to give that confidence again to the group, to the team. And to give confidence to the fans as well. It was a great victory against a great opponent. That same opponent played a great game against Magnus too. We already know Gustavo's work, and for us to leave here victorious today is of utmost importance for Monday", he continued.

"I'll tell your fans on Monday, here at Parque São José, against Santo André and Maiconintes", he added.

Flying

The black and white trajectory in the 2026 Paulista Futsal Championship began with a 4 x 0 victory over Praia Grande, at Parque São Jorge. Afterwards, Timão beat Taubaté 5 x 0, also at home. In the third round, they beat Pulo Futsal 4 x 0, away from home. The only stumble came against Santo André, in a 1-1 draw. Now, the triumph over Indaiatuba extended the undefeated streak and took the club to 13 points.

The performance makes Corinthians record its second best campaign after five rounds since 2021. The mark is behind only the 2022 and 2025 seasons, when Alvinegro won the first five matches and reached the 15 possible points.

With one game less compared to some direct competitors, Corinthians remains firmly in the fight for the top positions in the table and maintains the expectation of fighting for leadership in the next rounds.
