France's team is worth 60 times more than Iraq's, survey shows

The French team has a market value around 60 times higher than that of Iraq, according to a survey published by the TransferRoom platform. According to the study, the French squad is valued at €1.46 billion (R$9.33 billion), while the Iraqi team is valued at €24 million (R$153 million).

The difference between the two teams reaches €1.43 billion (R$9.17 billion) and is the largest among the clashes highlighted by the company for the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The study uses the so-called "Expected Transfer Value" (xTV), an indicator that estimates the economic value of players in the transfer market. The metric takes into account factors such as age, performance, contract length and negotiation potential of athletes.

France has some of the most valued players in world football. Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and Désiré Doué are among the team's main names.

Iraq's most valuable player is Ahmed Qasem, valued at €4.3 million (R$27.5 million). The striker plays for Nashville, in the United States.
